Jennifer (Jen) Huband,

Jennifer (Jen) received her master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010. Jen has worked in a variety of settings to include outpatient, inpatient, community-based care, correctional healthcare, and crisis intervention. She utilizes an individualized, integrative therapeutic approach (CBT, DBT, ACT) that includes both talk-therapy and skill-based learning. Jen aims to assist clients in becoming more self-aware and self-compassionate as their therapeutic goals are achieved. Jen also works with individuals diagnosed with a serious mental illness (Bipolar, Major Depressive Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Schizoaffective Disorders), specific to acceptance of illness and skill-based symptom management.

Jen focuses on helping teens (14-17), young adults (18-25), and adult males with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, anger management, relationship issues, coping skills, and life transitions. Jen also enjoys supporting individuals to address reentry needs after incarceration.
